Camp Location

THE FRENCH ALPS - Haute-Savoie Region

The Savoyard village of Châtel is located between Lake Geneva and Mount Blanc, it is well placed on the “Portes du Soleil” one of the biggest ski areas in the world.

Our camper will spend their holiday in a typical mountain chalet in the center of the village.

Lodging : Our typical chalet built in 1970, 3 storey high and fully remodeled, offers rooms 4 to 6 beds (116 beds total) with shower facilities in each bedroom. A large dining-room with a view on the mountains, 4 activity rooms. It is located only a few minutes away from the center of the village.

Activities

Campers will choose, prior to the beginning of the camp session, their favorite activities which they will practice during the entire session either Skiing OR Snowboarding :

SKIING CAMP:

This activity will be supervised by professional instructors (ESF teachers / ‘Ecole Française de Ski”): 5 full days of skiing including 5 lessons (2 hours)

The group will afterwards practice this activity at their own rhythm supervised by our specialized camp staff (2 hours a day). The objective is to learn and to progress while sharing a good time with friends!

Depending on their motivation, our group of campers will have a chance to spend full days on the slopes and picnic on site.

Skiing in the Alps is a true pleasure... The Châtel domain offers skiing for all; beginners and intermediates are very well served while advanced skiers get to practice their favorite sport on the red and black slopes in one of the most famous ski resort in the world!

The Z' ALP (Recreational and Educational Activity center in Châtel): this zone of about 250 meters long will give our youngsters the opportunity to measure their swiftness! At once playful and educational, this space equipped with a stopwatch (display on the slope), will allow them to measure their actual speed while skiing. The objective is to help our campers become conscious of their speed, how to control it etc…

Night Skiing : Those who wish to extend their day skiing under the stars will have a chance to reserve a space on the enlightened slopes of the “Stade de Neige of Linga” (one night a week).  Skiing at night and listening to the sound of their favorite music is an unusual way of practicing their favorite sport! Kids love it!

SNOWBOARDING CAMP:

It is in this magnificent domain Châtel that our campers will also practice snowboarding. After a full presentation of this activity and its elementary principles, they will dash for their first skids and somersaults!

This activity will be supervised by professional instructors (ESF teachers / ‘Ecole Française de Ski”): 5 full days / 5 lessons (2 hours)The group will afterwards practice this activity at their own rhythm supervised by our specialized camp staff (2 hours a day).

Snow Park: in the SmoothPark of Super-Châtel, rails, kickers, slide boxes, hips, boardercross and more await both beginners and experiences freestylers!

There are features suitable for all abilities, enabling you to progress and improve in a fun and friendly snowsports zone (sound system, BBQ, contests and more)!

Night Gliding : Those who wish to extend their day gliding under the stars will have a chance to reserve a space on the enlightened slopes of the “Stade de Neige of Linga” (one night a week).  Skiing at night and listening to the sound of their favorite music is an unusual way of practicing their favorite sport! Kids love it!

The camp provides all the necessary equipment, snow board, skis, ski boots, helmets and ski poles.

COMMON ACTIVITIES (for all campers):

Ice Skating ( 1 session): Let's skate during the day, but why not, under stars in a " light show " atmosphere, let's party on ice!
(The ice rink is situated next to the lake of Vonnes)

Evening get together "Veillées" :

- Games
- 1 Disco party
- Cabaret and evening shows,
- Sskiing or ice skating at night
- Parties and birthday parties!
